When a government agency or court – in any country – deals with a document issued abroad, they face the challenge of assessing the authenticity of a document that they are not familiar with.
Here is provided is a list of countries that are parties to the Apostille Convention. The Apostille Convention is an international treaty that simplifies the process of authenticating public documents for use in foreign countries. When a document from one of the countries listed above needs to be used in another member country, it can be authenticated with an “apostille” certificate, which is recognized by all parties to the convention.
